Something a little different

Well, we're gonna try something a bit different this month. Grilled bread stuff. Sound like pizza? Well sort of. But several different and maybe a bit unusual pizzas. Up for it? Saturday. June 10th at 6:30.

The first pizza we made was pizza margarita. I borrowed from several recipes. After grilling the crust on one side I covered the dough with crushed tomatoes in heavy puree. I then put on some slices of mozzarella cheese and salt and pepper. When the cheese was about melted, I added torn fresh basil leaves. Quite tasty.

The next pizza was Grilled Pizza with Ricotta and Pesto
Good but needed something more.

That was followed by Grilled Shrimp and Cilantro Pesto Pizza
Probably my favorite of the evening.

The last was Grilled Pizza with Hot Sausage, Grilled Peppers and Onions and Oregano Ricotta
Very good as well.
